Preparatory phase
We are pleased to inform you that the Erasmus+ project entitled “School of the Future” has been approved for funding by the Tempus Foundation!
The aim of this project is to develop and enhance teachers’ digital competencies and integrate ICT into everyday teaching practices, in order to increase student motivation and enable more creative and interactive learning. Reports from the Self-Evaluation Team, the School Development Planning Team, and class visit reports show that the use of digital tools in teaching is currently not widespread and that our teachers are not sufficiently trained to apply them. Conversations with students led us to conclude that during online classes in the pandemic period, learning was more engaging and motivation was higher because they had the opportunity to use their digital skills.
The project is implemented in three phases: the preparatory phase, the teacher mobility phase, and the dissemination of results. Teachers representing our school were selected through a school competition: Dijana Kurandić, Ana Stanković, Suzana Borović, Katarina Blanuša, and Ivana Ivanović. At the first project team meeting, tasks were defined and the next steps were agreed upon, including preparation for learning about Italian culture, history, and the education system, as well as upcoming courses.
Project team members will attend the course “Integrating ICT, New Technologies and AI Tools into Teaching and Education” in Bologna, Italy, from November 16 to 23, 2024.
After completing the course, teachers will share their newly acquired knowledge through model lessons, workshops, project-based teaching, and collaboration with other schools. In addition, they will initiate new eTwinning projects to share their experience and knowledge with the wider community.
Interactive teaching will contribute to greater student engagement and motivation, as well as facilitate lesson monitoring for those following an individualized education plan. We look forward with great anticipation to new achievements that will enrich our school and community through this project!
As part of the preparatory phase of the Erasmus project “School of the Future,” mobility participants became familiar with the education system in Italy through informative sessions and the exchange of experiences. As part of the cultural preparation, a presentation was organized to introduce participants to the cultural and social characteristics of Italy, facilitating their adaptation and enhancing their understanding of the country’s education system.
